2002 Custom Custom Seller Description

Genuine reason for the sale!

A “one of” truly great family and/or fishing vessel admired by many. Powered by twin 370HP Cummins diesels with low hours. Built to survey, solid and safe with all the gear.

A sincerely regrettable sale as the owner/skipper has been a mariner most of his life including a stint as a clearance diver for the RAN but the wounds of Vietnam have caught up with him requiring major back surgery meaning good bye to the boat. Even “she who has to be obeyed” will miss the family boating fun we have had.

Wildside was built to survey for charter in 2002 for the Lighthouse Inn Bunbury. It lasted 18 months when the owner died and the boat was caught up in probate. It transferred to Perth where the owners brother took it over with 4 partners to form Wildside Charters but went into receivership in September 2008 when we purchased the boat from the receiver.

From 2008 to now the vessel has been the flag ship for Nautica Lodge in North Yunderup who put the vessel back into a ship shape condition with an engine overhaul, complete clean and the hull repainted/anti fouled along with new carpets throughout. The vessel has been used for private river cruising and family cruises to Rottnest, Garden Island and Port Geographe.

The vessel has 2 cabins, forward a double master and starboard a double bunk crew cabin plus 2 long seats in the saloon available for sleeping on. Therefore the vessel can comfortably sleep 6 adults. This is complimented by an ensuite with vanity, toilet and shower. The galley is equipped with 12/240v fridge, gas stove and 240v microwave.

All 3 marine radios are installed but the HF is temporally disconnected for obvious reasons. It has Furuno navigation with auto pilot. Twin Cummins 370hp (700hrs) diesel engines which power the vessel with a cruising speed of 15 to 19 knots. Draft is only 0.8m excellent for inshore navigation and despite no keel the ride in a rough ocean is surprisingly smooth. Engines have under 800 hours and fuel capacity of 2 x 400ltr tanks. There is also a 350ltr water tank.

On the rear deck, which has just been fitted with a brand new Bimini, there is a stainless steel BBQ fitted.

This vessel is a “one of” strong commercial strength vessel that is admired when cruising in the Mandurah waterways or the Ocean. Original cost was $A400,000.00.

A Zodiac tender with a near new Mercury 3.3HP outboard are included in the sale.
